Hello, I’m Jane. I am a Certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and 
member of the International Dyslexia Association in the Durham, NC and RTP area.
Being able to read is a basic human right. Teaching reading is my passion. I believe it is important for children to overcome their literacy struggles to help fulfill their dreams.
I have a B.A. in Sociology from DePaul University in Chicago and Elementary Teaching Credentials in North Carolina and California. I have teaching experience in the Durham Public Schools and the Los Angeles Unified School District. I regularly encountered children who needed more support and intervention than a self-contained classroom teacher can provide.
The Wilson Reading System is an Accredited Plus recognized program by the International Dyslexia Association. It is built for students who have dyslexia or other literacy struggles. These can negatively impact their learning, self-confidence, and self-esteem. WRS is a multi-sensory systematic teaching of foundational skills such as decoding and spelling. It also focuses on other important literacy areas such as vocabulary, comprehension, and writing.
